Nancy Hinsch designed this elegant cowl to highlight one scrumptious skein of Mimi, an incredibly soft yarn made from 100% mink. Think Mink uses a classic lace stitch from the Shetland Islands known as old shale or feather & fan. First you work the cowl's triangular center in stockinette stitch like a small shawlette. Then the ends are joined and you begin working the lace pattern in the round. When you're done with the knitting, a nice bath and blocking will bring out Mimi's incredible hazy halo. Divine!
Make one to wear now, and one to gift later. No animals are harmed in the making of Mimi, so it's okay to Think Mink. One touch and you will fall in love!
