Behind the Scenes: Fall Photoshoot

Ready to knit all the things?! It's become a Knitting Bee tradition to release a series of patterns in the weeks leading up to the winter holidays. Most are smaller projects, designed by our talented staff, perfect for gifting. They're the type of projects we enjoy knitting (and would enjoy receiving), worked up in yarns we love.

This year, we decided to shine a light on some of our favorite designs from past seasons, giving them a new look and feel by changing up the yarn. Plus, Knitting Bee staffer and ravelry designer Trisha Mitberg has created a number of beautiful new patterns that will have you reaching for your needles.

You'll have to visit the shop or read our weekly emails to see all of the projects and patterns, but we wanted to give you a little teaser of what's to come with a behind the scenes peek at our photoshoot.

We met up with photographer Kim Jeyaraj of MELA at the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland's West Hills. Although the day before was hot and sunny, the day of our photoshoot was downright chilly. Perfect for wearing handknits!
