Jingle & Jangle Photo Booth

Posted by Jami Brynildson on

Thanksgiving at the Brynildson's brought together four different families, lots of dogs and the biggest turkey I've ever seen. After dinner, everyone took a turn posing in our Week 9 KAL project: the Jingle & Jangle Elf Hat. We had a blast!   Big thank you's to Trisha Mitberg for bringing us another design that's quick & easy to knit, oh-so-cute to wear. You'll need two colors of Malabrigo Chunky (10% off in-store at the Bee through Dec. 4) and US size #11 - 16" circular and double pointed needles. We used a My Mountain faux fur pompom on the end, but you...

Skibowl Hat

Welcome to our Week #4 project, a colorfully cozy hat embellished with braided ties and a fluffy ready-made pom pom. Steffanie Colvig designed Skibowl using one skein of a super bulky, self-striping yarn called Katia Junior. It's written in two sizes (child and adult) and knits up really quickly in the round on size #17 needles.   Stop by the shop and pick up the pattern for free with any purchase, and save 10% on Katia Junior through next Thursday (both in-store and online when you use the code SKIBOWL). You can also purchase the pattern as a PDF download on ravelry.   Don't...

Barnes

Posted by Jami Brynildson on

Named for our new location on Barnes Road, this versatile hat can be worn several ways: tall like a retro ski cap, relaxed and slouchy, or as a watchcap (just fold up the brim). What makes Barnes extra special is the yarn, Rowan's Fazed Tweed. This super yummy blend of fine alpaca and wool creates a nice tweedy effect with a luxe halo. LOVE it!   Barnes knits up quickly in the round using a simple ribbing and a clever decrease stitch for the crown. Written in one size, the hat is very stretchy and will fit most adult & teen heads. If you know how to...
